Yesterday, Pete was transferred to a children’s hospital inpatient rehab floor in Charlotte, where he will be for the next few weeks. He got to ride in an ambulance all the way from Durham, which he loved! This was necessary as it was still less than a week after his surgery, plus it was a long drive. The new location means he will finally have a routine, which at minimum will consist of two hours of PT and OT every morning, then two 30-minute sessions each afternoon. The real hard work begins now πŸ’ͺ

He is ready and we are excited about this next chapter!

Helen, he is so precious! What a trooper. In our 34 years of surgeries, OT, PT, etc. we have met so many families and I wish I could introduce them all to you so you could be encouraged through these difficult times of what is possible! Stay strong. The Lord loves Pete even more than you do and has big plans for his life.
