Penelope is our 3-year-old daughter who needs medical care at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Unfortunately, this hospital doesn't take her insurance. We are raising funds for the down payment and transportation because we live in Kansas. We have three other children at home to care for, too. Anything you can give helps. Today, we reached out to many friends, family, and colleagues to expand our support network for Penelope. Recently, a new GI (gastroenterologist, a stomach and intestines doctor) said Penelope's lab results were "normal," but when we looked, they weren't. She hasn't been herself for three days, and they did say her iron (a mineral in blood that helps carry oxygen) is low, but they didn’t explain why. She has an appointment with her primary pediatrician (child’s doctor) tomorrow morning to learn more.
