Good afternoon,

Yesterday was another good day overall. The biggest positives: Paxton walked twice, came off the high flow oxygen, and ate a chicken nugget! His chest tube output is still high, almost 3 liters per day, which is starting to cause some concerns. 

This morning was the first step back that we've seen. He was visibly in pain, but we aren't sure from where. Anytime something hurts, he says it is his ear, even when they are clear. He tried taking oxycodone for the pain by threw it up just a few minutes later. Since then, he's had an echo done and the cardiologist said nothing on there was a case for concern. Paxton has been resting most of the day since. The goals for this afternoon are getting him up and walking some more and eating some solid food. 

Last night Camden and Grandma came to town for the weekend! Camden was tentative at first, but once the nurse started explaining what Paxton was connected to, he became very interested in what was going on and the numbers being tracked.
