Our family has been going through an incredibly difficult season, and I wanted to share an update on where life has taken us and the challenges we are currently facing.

Since our daughter Paityn was diagnosed with brain cancer and suffered a stroke during surgery, our family's life has changed in ways we never could have imagined. Her journey has involved cancer treatment, rehabilitation, and learning how to navigate life with the physical challenges left behind. Being there for her and caring for our children has meant stepping away from work so I can focus on my family and Paityn's needs.

My husband is currently our family's sole income earner, supporting our household of eight. We are doing everything we can to keep moving forward, but the financial pressure has become overwhelming. The cost of housing has increased significantly, and our rent and utilities take up such a large portion of our income that it has become increasingly difficult to keep up with everything else. We are facing the very real worry of how we will maintain stable housing for our children while still covering groceries, transportation, utilities, and other basic necessities.

We are not a family that wants to give up or stop trying. We are doing our best to rebuild, find solutions, and create a stable future for our children. I have also started working toward a career in real estate, hoping to eventually contribute financially while maintaining the flexibility needed to care for Paityn. However, building a new career takes time, and right now we are struggling to bridge the gap between what we earn and what our family needs.

It is difficult to ask for help, especially when you are used to doing everything you can to provide for your children. But sometimes life brings challenges that are bigger than what one family can manage alone. We are trying to hold on to our stability, protect our children's sense of security, and keep moving forward through a very uncertain time.

Any financial assistance, particularly toward housing, utilities, or other essential expenses, would make a meaningful difference for our family. It would give us some breathing room and help us focus on caring for our children without the constant fear of falling behind.

We remain incredibly grateful for the people and organizations willing to listen, offer support, and remind families like ours that we are not alone. We continue to have faith that this difficult chapter will not be the end of our story, and we are doing everything in our power to build a better, more secure future for our children.
