We are planning to start Oliver with Super Kids PT in Pittsburgh, despite the long drive.
Oliver has a number of health challenges including epilepsy, vision issues, and more. He was diagnosed with these at birth, and he faces a lot of daily hurdles. We take frequent trips to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh to help him get the care he needs.
Recently, Oliver has been having trouble with swallowing. This is called oral aversion. We learned this can lead to aspiration pneumonia, which is dangerous for kids with infantile spasms. We need the doctors in Pittsburgh to do a swallow study soon, and we hope for good results so he can stay healthy.
We are excited about starting sessions with Super Kids PT. It's quite a drive, taking about an hour each way, but it's worth it. Each session will cost $100, and Oliver will go twice a week. In December, there will be a special program where he will go for 5 days and have 2 sessions a day. We are hopeful about this new plan to help Oliver.
