Hello everyone!

It’s been weeks since we’ve updated here and for many reasons. Thank you for your patience and consistent support even from afar and amidst the silence.

Quite a few updates to give here.

Firstly, my mom is done with her third cycle of treatment and only has one left to go before her stem cell transplant. She is responding to the treatment well, and all of her numbers are where they should be which is wonderful news.

On the other hand, we’ve been hit with several tough challenges in the last month. My Aunt Terry (my dad’s sister) passed away two weeks ago today on May 15th. Her memorial service was this past Saturday. It was a heartbreaking loss for all of us. Even in the midst of my mom’s own challenges, she still delivered a beautiful message to the congregation at my aunt’s funeral about the fact that “days that do not make us happy may yet make us wise.” And we have been holding that message with us in many ways.

The next challenge is that my mom has recently had a serious infection in her left eye. She will have eye surgery next week. Please pray for a smooth, miraculous surgery and healing process for her.

Lastly, there are some complications around  approvals for my mom’s stem cell transplant. We will spare you the details, but please also pray for her to be with the right doctors, at the right time, with the right approvals for her procedure.

While the road has been tough and very much surreal the past several weeks, we are still praying for hope and joy and peace for my mom and for our family. Please join us in those prayers.
