Joshua was discharged late Saturday to come home after being admitted for 14 days. He was given medications to help manage the pain including muscle spasms, nerve meds, nsaids and narcotics. None of which take away the pain, they barely take the edge off. The last two nights have been pretty miserable for him, with Tuesday night being the worst. His pain escalated to a 10 and was not able to come down the entire night. His pain is now in his legs, feet, arms and hands. Heβs having severe pain when walking and now using his hands is very painful. His palliative team at the hospital added in a 2 week course of high dose steroids to help in the interim while waiting for the insurance approvals for in home palliative care as well as CHLA pain program. We are all exhausted and struggling watching him cry and be in so much pain and discomfort day and night. Please continue to pray for a miracle and for pain relief for Joshua.Β
