Melody Alysha Seas
Hi everyone, thanks for being here.
This Support Registry is how we're rallying help for Melody Alysha. Because of medication changes and prices while trying to get a good grip on pain management has been difficult. I have received offers for help inside my home and will be utilizing them over the winter when most people are less busy. On an average, I am $700 to $1000 shy each month, sweating each time and just praying that God will provide.
We all know that the price of any healthy food in the stores has also increased as well as the vitamins that I take, and I take a lot.

Here's what's going on:
It's been 6 years now of dealing with the treatments and surgeries related to this stupid cancer in my face. Having been fired from work, then back to work part-time to being fired again when I had to go back out on Long term Disability. To then paying the almost $1000 per month to keep my health benefits (same doctors) for 18 months, it really drained my family. Then last year it was determined the only way to get rid of the cancer was to amputate my nose. I had been told for the previous 5 years that a complete restoration of my nose was the end goal. But last July my nose was amputated. In August they did a follow-up surgery because pathology showed it was required.
Last year we also had to replace our furnace and A/C system. In order to do so I had to get a loan. The payments are almost $900 per month. I think that is what is really hurting my family finances at this point and thus the reason I chose the amount needed.
As of July, after my last MRI, the surgeon at Sloan Kettering echoed the same as the surgeon at Penn Medicine in that surgery wasn't a viable option. We then discussed radiation and chemotherapy. Some of the area around my left eye already had some radiation but they felt they could do more and the remaining area, back to the stem of my brain, could be radiated. Coupled with radiation would be another form of chemotherapy.
At best, within those 7 weeks, I will probably lose my left eye, the motor skills to a big portion of my face, definitely the left side and the inability to swallow. For the remainder of my life. The cure rate of which is 30-40%. Not good.
I have decided to let go and let God. I have been digging into God's word and have been welcomed into a wonderful Bible believing Christian community called The Garden Project.
I believe that Jesus died for our sins but also by His stripes we were healed. I am standing on that promise from God.
I'm can't stand that I am in this situation but I do believe wholeheartedly that God will provide for all of our needs. As He has done thus far. I am backed up but not so much that anything is being turned off, although 2 weeks ago the electric came real close.
If, after reading and understanding my situation, you feel God directs you to help financially it would be greatly appreciated. If you are directed to only pray, then I thank you for each breathe of each prayer you utter on my behalf. No weapon formed against us shall prosper is what the Word of God tells us. This cancer will go in Jesus name, in His timing. I just have to get through to the end of this battle.
Thank you for standing with me.
God bless you.
