Happy kidney, happy life!

Max here!
I am sending this message from the hospital that I am leaving today.
The surgery went super well and I feel great. Ready to start this new chapter with energy and relief!

I want to thank each one of you who donated their money, their time, and shared. It is incredible to see how I’m supported. As a long time chronic illness person, I’ve had times where that was not the case so thank you for healing me by just being present. Every like and comment on my Instagram and Facebook meant the world to me.

And finally, my living donor. What a surreal experience to have a stranger give a piece of themself to allow me to continue to live. There is no more selfless gift than that. I appreciate you so much. Thank you ❤️ 

I am leaving the hospital today to spend a couple of weeks in an apartment in Midtown, generously offered by a stranger.
Then I’ll head back home on Oct 10.

I’ll keep posting updates a a bit to let you know how I am doing. Keep being awesome! I love you all.
