Hey all- quick post because I just don't have a lot of details today...

Mason slept soundly last night- he perked up around 11 p.m., warned Grandma Mary it would be a late night, played a game with her that was gifted to him by the folks in his late step-dad's (Todd) office, and got down another Subway sandwich. Then he went back to sleep and slept through the night.

He continued to be groggy today, mostly due to the amount of meds he is on. He did receive platelets this morning.

Although he ordered food, he wasn't able to eat much of anything. He has lost a few additional pounds- they are pushing Ensure Plus on him to try and get him the nutrition that way. If necessary, they will move to a feeding tube to make sure he gets the nutrients he needs. Although we would prefer to avoid that, we will do whatever we need to do to keep his strength up.

I got a picture of him in the late afternoon, lying in bed but reading a book. He is doing what he can to stay entertained.

When I touched base with him this evening, he got to spend time talking to Alex, Kylie and Hayley. I hope that helped lift his spirits a bit.

The rest of the crew and I arrived in Orlando safe and sound. Jack and friends headed immediately to the park, and all the other siblings and I have a late night dinner reservation (9:45 p.m.) at the Chocolate Emporium- if I can make it that late...

I will do my best to keep the updates coming this week- please know that I will be calling for all the details a few times each day- while trying to soak up this time with all the other kiddos and their friends.
