Yesterday, Marley and I played UNO—one of her favorite games. If you know Marley, you know that when she loves something, she really loves it. She has a few deep interests, and when one of them shines through, it's like watching pure magic.

As we sat there, shuffling cards and laughing at our inevitable "Draw Four" betrayals, my mind drifted to fundraising. The weight of raising six figures for the cost to get this miracle medicine to her can feel overwhelming at times. The numbers are big, the goal is kinda daunting. But then I looked at Marley—her face lit up with joy, completely immersed in the game.

And it hit me.

We’re going to do this. One (UNO) dollar at a time.

Just like in UNO, it’s not about racing to the end—it’s about playing each card with intention, staying in the game, and finding joy in the journey.
