What an experience last week was! Marley made her TV debut on Good Morning Texas and let me tell you, I have never been more proud of our girl. The way she sat like such a little lady for the entire segment was such a big win. I think I enjoyed that more than anything else that day.

Let me start at the beginning and tell you why that made me so proud of Marley. She can easily get worked up in new situations. Marley has some anxiety when it comes to new experiences. Each time we go to the doctor, for instance, we don't just load up and go. Nope, we prep days in advance, telling Marley where we’re going and what she might be doing. The night before, I pack towels and changes of clothes—because when Marley gets anxious, she tends to throw up and melt to the floor. I have mastered a quick catch and supporting her with my body and words. But it takes such a toll on me. I tell others that Marley and I have medical PTSD. I tend to dread new experiences!

I had been praying hard that Tuesday would be different. They wanted Marley to be on camera, and I wanted her to be, too. So I prayed and believed that God would help so everyone could put a face to our story, mission, and determination to get Marley this treatment and spread awareness about NARS1.

The Good Morning Texas team was so kind from the very start. I can't even tell you how blown away I was. They were patient and thoughtful. The camera operator Marley affectionately called "Emily" lowered the sound in the studio so it wouldn't be too loud for her. She let Marley play with the camera equipment and have fun on the set. The kindness and consideration of the team really blessed us.

When it came time, Marley got into the chair and sat. I think it really helped that there was a screen right in front of her where she could watch the programming everyone else could see on TV, including herself. We had one segment before us, and then it was our turn. It all went so fast!

We were overwhelmed by all the calls, texts, and messages afterward. So many tuned in from their phones who don’t live locally, and others watched who don’t typically watch the news. It was fun to see Marley's Instagram account gain new followers as soon as the segment aired.

It's not in my nature to do these things. It's not in my nature to ask people for money. But I want to say thank you for all the support. We're almost 10% to our goal. Please continue to share Marley's support page and pray with us daily for success in the process to treatment.

Thank you for the love and support. And thanks for tuning in! More interviews have happened, and more are coming. I'll be sure to share more about them soon.
