Buddy League Helps Fund Marley's Treatment

Marley lives for baseball season. She asks about it all week long and lights up the second we pull into the parking lot at Buddy League. This isn’t just a game for her—it’s a place where she’s celebrated, cheered on, and wrapped in pure joy (with a tutu on, of course).

This season, that joy runs even deeper. Buddy League is generously donating their concession stand proceeds to help fund Marley’s treatment. From homemade brownies to the cutest baseball cookies—lovingly baked by league co-founder Heather Miller—every snack sold is making a difference. It’s hard to put into words what that means to our family.

We’ve been playing Buddy League twice a year for four years now, and they’ve become such a precious part of our lives. Marley is known for her colorful tutus (we even got Heather one to match!). She especially loves holding hands with the sweet Elite boys who help guide her around the field and make each moment magical.

It’s a beautiful sight—families of all kinds coming together, kids of all abilities being celebrated, and a community that just gets it. We’re incredibly honored to be supported in this way, knowing how many other families in this community have their own challenges and needs. Thank you, Buddy League, for loving us so well.

Play ball!

More About Buddy League
At Buddy League, all are welcome.
Founded in 2002 by Heather and Curt Miller for their son Ben, Buddy League began after their local Little League would no longer make accommodations for him. Rather than accept that, they created a new vision—one that grew from two 5-player teams to serving over 150 players and families from across the Dallas Metroplex each season

Now in its 22nd year, Buddy League has created recreational opportunities for hundreds of children with special needs, helping them develop active lifestyles, build social relationships, and learn the values of teamwork in an accepting, inclusive, and fun environment. Thousands of youth volunteers have walked alongside these incredible kids, learning that we're all more alike than different.
