Two years ago today—April 16—was Marley’s due date.
I’ve been thinking about this video from June 26, 2023, when he was just over 5 months old (2 months corrected). This moment told me he was going to be okay—even if we’d have to work hard on a few things.
When you’re going through something hard, when the information coming in is so much that you close off parts of yourself just to focus on the little bits—you hold on to those special moments. Even knowing we were looking down a long, uncertain road, this moment—how animated he was, how much he was sharing with us—felt like a promise... It was an anchor of hope.
And now, two years from the day we expected to meet him, we’re celebrating how far he’s come—and the strength that’s carried us here. This journey hasn’t always been easy, but Marley’s continued growth is a reminder of what’s possible with the right support. As we look ahead, we’re excited for what’s to come, and we’re so appreciative of your support in helping Marley.
