He Said 'Go Up!'—And He Did It

Marley Getting To Walk!

This little boy wants to walk—and I’ve never seen a two-year-old so determined to make it happen.

Ask him, “Do you want to walk?” and he’ll say, “Yeah!” as he grabs your hands and wraps them around his belly, ready to go. The moment he’s upright, those little legs go tappy-de-tap, stepping forward whether you’re ready or not.

Lately, he’s set his sights even higher—on the stairs. Today, with pure conviction, he declared, “Go up!”

I held his hands gently at his sides, helping him explore this new challenge. He lifted his right leg high—90 degrees—to take the first step. Then brought his feet together. It took everything he had, but he cleared the next step with his left leg. Step by step, he climbed until we were two steps from the top, both of us panting. With one final push and a bit of support, he reached forward and crawled the rest of the way.

This wasn’t just a task—it was something he wanted to do. And he did it.

As his parents, Kevin and I are doing everything we can to support our children with what they need to thrive. We’re constantly reflecting—Where is Marley at? What’s the next step forward?

Since receiving the Trexo Robotics walker in February, Marley has made more progress than we ever expected. It’s been an incredible tool that’s helping him build the strength and coordination to work toward independent walking.

We’re so grateful for this amazing community of support. Please continue to share this fundraiser page, leave an encouraging word, and give when you can. Every bit of support brings us one step closer to helping Marley walk on his own.
