Marley Getting To Walk!
We’re always juggling a lot, and like many parents, we tend to be hard on ourselves—especially when it feels like there’s never enough time to do it all. Looking back at last month’s physiotherapy notes, I found myself focusing on the things we didn’t get to.
Then today, Marley went into his session beaming—chest out, full of confidence—you could say he had swagger. And then, something that might seem small to others left us speechless: while standing, he lifted his left leg slightly to adjust his position. It was a big moment. That small shift tells us he’s getting stronger and is confident enough to balance, even just a bit, on his right side.
We also brought his balance bike to the session. As soon as he saw it, he said “bike!” and stayed on it four times longer than he usually does at home. His therapist noticed so many positive changes—more strength, improved posture and better upper body symmetry when moving.
Sometimes we're so caught up in the day-to-day that we forget to see the progress. Hearing his therapist’s words helped us pause, and to just breathe. We’re doing okay—and Marley is doing great. And here’s the big one—deep breath—what we’re doing is enough. I’m saying it again, for myself and anyone who needs to hear it: We are enough. deep exhale
We’re incredibly grateful for your support. Last week, we received two donations totaling $110 USD—bringing us to about $640 USD (or roughly $880 CAD). That means we’re just $150 USD ($220 CAD) away from covering one full month of Trexo use!
We continue to work hard, explore funding options, and deeply appreciate everyone who’s cheering Marley on. Thank you for being part of his journey.
