Give your toddler the freedom to move.
The Toddler Mobility Trainer is a kid sized mobility chair for children who can't yet crawl or walk on their own. Buy one and it ships within 10 days. Fundraise with your community. Or get one free from our volunteer network. Three paths, same chair.

The chair works. The waitlist doesn't.
Volunteer makers build every free TMT, and we love them for it. But more families join the list each month than our volunteers can build for, so the wait keeps getting longer. This page is our answer: a faster paid path that shortens the free list for everyone.
Toddlerhood Can't Wait
Dear families,
I started MakeGood to get assistive devices to the people who need them. Free, no strings attached. That mission has not changed, but I owe you an honest look at where we are.
The Toddler Mobility Trainer works. Kids who couldn't cross a room on their own are chasing siblings, rolling up to the dinner table, and learning what "go" feels like. Word spread. And now more families join our waitlist every month than our volunteer makers can build for. The list is growing, and the wait is growing with it.
Here's the part I can't accept. Toddlerhood doesn't wait. The window when independent movement shapes how a child learns, plays, and connects is short. A chair that arrives a year late arrives to a different kid.
So we're adding a way to buy the TMT outright. Order one and paid fabrication partners build it and ship it within 10 days. You get your chair while it matters most, and you step out of the waitlist, which moves every family behind you forward. Money from each sale goes back into the program: more printers, more trained volunteers, more free chairs.
Nothing about the free program is going away. The MakeGood Network will keep building free chairs for as long as I have anything to say about it. If money is tight, invite your community to fund your chair in one click, or apply for a free one and we will get to you as fast as we possibly can.
Same chair. Same care. Three ways to get it.
Every child who needs a TMT should have one while they're still small enough for it to change things. That's the mission. This is how we keep up with it.
With gratitude,
Pick the path that fits your family.
Every path ends with the exact same chair. The only difference is how it gets funded and how fast it arrives.

Looks like a toy. Rolls like a wheelchair.
The TMT was designed with pediatric experts at LINK PBC so kids build strength, coordination, and confidence on their own terms. Many kids who start in a TMT go on to crawl and walk.
Clicks together, no tools or glue
The frame assembles with joints borrowed from old school woodworking. If you can do a puzzle, you can build it.
Kid height on purpose
The low seat keeps your child at eye level with friends on the floor, where toddler life actually happens.
Comfort where it counts
Cushioned seat, supportive back, and a secure harness developed through testing with real families.
Open source, always
The full design is public domain with free files on MakerWorld. Selling chairs doesn't change that. Anyone can still print one.
From order to first lap in 10 days.

FAQ
The exact cost of materials needed to build a chair is public, along with the full open source design, at makegood.design. But a sustainable path to reliable, quick distribution takes more than hard costs. The price bundles it all together: a dependable supply of materials through our manufacturer partnership, distribution, and the continued R&D that keeps quality high.
We've also partnered with SupportNow so families can Start a Fundraiser and invite their community into the purchase. And the free marketplace is still here for families who can't afford a chair: Get a Free Chair. A purchase is not a donation and is not tax deductible.
However it gets to your family, it should get there in time.
