Post Op/Pathology

I had a great day toodling around with my dear sweet hairstylist Katie today. She took me to my Dr appointment and washed and trimmed and styled my hair. Its amazing how much of a  difference fresh clean hair can make in how we feel.
We were both a little stumped when my surgeon shared with us that 5 of the 6 lymph nodes she removed came back positive for metastasis.  Not something you ever want to hear but we will stay the course.
I didn't have much of an appetite after that, but I used a gift card from a dear old pal Laura Walton to get one of my all time favorite comfort foods. Thai Basil. 
Greatful for the silver linings and all the wonderful people who have shown they care about  me with their kind actions and words. 
Some days just getting through the day is a victory.
