FundRacers Update - Making Laps
MacKenzie “Mac” Hansard
As we get closer and closer to the Crush POTS Fundraiser following FundRacers, the more practice and consistency is involved.
My goal is a simple, but lofty one. As I often rely on my cane and/or wheelchair as mobility aids, the idea of walking this fundraiser without either is both impressive and overwhelming.
The process is rather easy when broken down. It begins with a baseline - how much of the neighborhood can you walk without a mobility aid and without causing a flare up. It began originally with a half-lap, before one and two and three laps all settled nicely into routine.
Process however does not come without personal setbacks. At the moment and due to a more POTSie week, the current standing is a single lap without mobility aids.
But what truly is fun about a challenge if it's easy?
