We're two weeks into the new year, and 2025 is shaping up to be an interesting time. (And you know what they say about living in interesting times.) I'm feeling really good overall and I've been making plans for what comes next, both fun and not so fun: taking time to celebrate life and how far I've come in the 14 months since my ovarian cancer diagnosis with a couple of exciting trips, and taking action to reduce my lifetime risk of breast cancer with a series of biopsies, MRIs, and meetings with my new surgeon.

My first infusion of the year—and my 12th immunotherapy infusion, all told—happened to fall on a snowy day, and the cancer center's proximity to Washington Square Park, my favorite spot for watching snowflakes fall with a cup of hot chocolate in one hand and my beloved's hand in my other hand, filled me with a peaceful feeling. Not tripping on the icy sidewalk was a bonus.

I've got five infusions left to go, essentially one each month from January until May. If you're an early bird and you love Mondays, maybe you'll want to join me for lucky number 13 on January 27. If you're a morning person but not that early of a morning person, perhaps you'd prefer to accompany me on February 20.
