Marching towards surgery

Well. It’s funny how the healthcare field seems impossible and slow one moment. And moves 1000% MPH the next. I’m headed in for 2 big MRI’s in November and should be having surgery in December. 

The surgeon is pleased that I have a very physical & seasonal hobby. It’s important for me to rest deeply and get active as soon as I am cleared for activities. So. I shall rest with my dahlia tubers and hope to bloom alongside them. 

A bonus of this path is that there is a Neuro psychologist in my surgeons office that helps navigate things like referrals and feelings. But! She’s also a fellow EDS person and treats folks with MCAS! Dr Mars is helping me parse out things like inflammation and making sure I rest well. We heal when we sleep. So that’s important!!

I could ramble on  further. So much is happening. But instead I’ll strive to update more often. If you’d like to say hello in person, my friends are helping us put on a fundraiser in November 7 at Siren Spirits Distilling Co. The flier is attached. Live music? Silent auction?? Mac & cheese bar??? Yes please!!
