Logan has shifted from IP Trauma to IP Rehab and made leaps in his recovery over the past week. His awake time is more and more and things are slowly starting to come back. He still tires easily and needs to rest and think things through. His NG tube has been removed as he is now able to eat regularly (and enough calories). Pizza for breakfast has been a common request the past few days. He is still unsteady at times and reaches our for a railing or a hand for balance. We were able to get outside of the hospital for a few hours yesterday and he was excited to feel the sun on his face and feel "normal"ish again.  He started speaking again last week and even wrote out his name! His vocabulary has continued to grow everyday since then.  We are working with our amazing providers and care team on plans for what our future will look like, Transitioning home, OP Therapy and eventually returning to school.  Thank you all again for the outpouring of love and support, we have a map up in his room and are putting gold stars on it to mark everywhere he has received cards from. They are appreciated and valued more than you will ever know.
