My first update

Hi everyone, thanks for being here and for your support!

I wanted to answer a few questions people have had:
Why New York vs somewhere else?
In New York Dr. Constantine is a world renowned Ear Nose and Throat surgeon who specializes in eagle syndrome.  When he completes the surgery he works as a multi disciplinary team with a neurosurgeon who resolves the jugular compression and if needed does a cervical fusion.  The Brain and Spine Surgeons of New York have the highest success rates for such a complicated surgery.

What happens if I don't have the surgery?
Without the surgery I have been told I will have a stroke and die in less than 6 months due to the severe compression.

Why the length of time it takes?
I can't leave the surgical area until after my post op is completed to ensure I am safe and no complications occur.

Lastly, why not fly its cheaper?
Since my jugular veins are compressed 90-100% depending on positioning flying is a death sentence.  Due to the pressure change while taking off and landing.  At take off my veins would rupture leading to a terribly traumatic instant death for myself and my family.

Any support is appreciated as no child should grow up without a mom.  And my husband has held everything together for so long that he deserves a moment to breath knowing I survived.
