Hello friends and family,

Thank you for all the support and messages you’ve given over the past few days. Today is a good day. Yesterday was rough but I got a lot of rest and finally got a shower in.

My partner David is amazing and I don’t know how I could do this without him. My pain is under control and I’ve been able to sleep. My appetite is very low but I’m getting nutrients through salads and smoothies. 

The worst part is emptying the surgical drain. It is often painful and makes me very nauseated to drain them. My son very sweetly offered to hold my hand during that. He’s navigating his first year of high school school right now and I’m a little less involved due to my recovery.
I feel that he could use more meetups and support but he’s also doing fine. 

I’m still trying to take it very easy so I recover quickly. Just wanted to let you know how it was going. I still haven’t heard anything about test results.
