The 1st day of December came with its ups and downs. Kinsley came down with a fever Monday, which led us to the emergency department. Thankfully, she wasn’t neutropenic, but she was diagnosed with Influenza A and rhinovirus. 

Despite days of rest and hydration her fever has returned on this 5th day of Christmas. A trip to Lurie’s revealed that her numbers are dropping, but are not low enough to be admitted or to stop her oral chemotherapy. 

Unfortunately, Kinsley had a special trip at Ohare through Cal’s Angels to travel to the North Pole tomorrow to meet Santa and his reindeer’s that we had to cancel. If her fever continues then she will be admitted on Sunday and will miss her dance recital.
