Good Afternoon, Everyone
Our family is beyond grateful for everyone who donated and sent support! We could not have gotten this far without you all! Most of the needed construction was done, but most importantly we were able to build this beautiful ramp (see photo), repair the French doors for entry, and protect those doors with an awning. Bill Schellman and his employees helped tremendously in completing the work on time, so give a huge round of applause to them all.
My mother was home for about a month and we did our absolute best to try and take care of her. Unfortunately, her health declined rapidly and last week there was a scare that sent her to the hospital. After settling at the hospital my mother decided she could no longer fight, so we all as a family agreed to begin hospice care for her when she was able to go back home.
Hospice Care began yesterday. For now, she is comfortable and we will continue to provide her as much comfort as we can. We have a hospice team on call and they will be helping us keep her comfortable and also provide support for the family.
Financially we still need support, it is so tough to ask again but now there is a whole new set of issues that need to be addressed. Most importantly having the funds to handle everything when my mom passes. Our family would forever be grateful if you all could help us reach our goal, it would help relieve some stress under a very difficult situation to begin with.
We cannot thank you enough for your support, people came from near and far, and we will never forget the love been shown.
With Love,
The Houston Family
