A Long Road Ahead, But Every Step Matters

First, I want to thank everyone who has reached out, prayed for Kevin, shared his story, or donated toward his recovery. Our family is incredibly grateful for every bit of love and support we've received.

I wanted to share an update on how Kevin is doing.

On Monday, our lives changed in a way we never could have imagined.
Kevin suffered severe burns covering 43% of his body.

As his mother, there are no words that can fully describe how heartbreaking it is to see your child lying in a hospital bed, hurting, and facing something this serious. No matter how old our children get, we never stop wanting to protect them from pain.

Kevin has been hospitalized since Monday, and on Tuesday, he underwent skin graft surgery to begin the process of repairing his damaged skin.
He has also started physical therapy. 💪🏾

Although his journey is just beginning, every step forward matters.
We have been told to expect Kevin to remain in the hospital for approximately 3–4 weeks as his body begins to heal.

And even after those weeks are over, his road to recovery will continue.
Burn injuries this severe don't heal overnight. Kevin has a long journey ahead of him, physically, emotionally, and financially.

Right now, our focus is on helping him heal and making sure he has the support he needs throughout this process.

As his mother, I wish I could take every ounce of his pain away. I can't do that, but what I CAN do is stand beside him, fight for him, and do everything in my power to make sure he doesn't have to face this journey alone.

And that's why I'm asking for your help.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help support Kevin and his needs during his hospitalization and recovery.
If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing his story. You never know whose heart it might reach.
Most importantly, please continue keeping Kevin in your thoughts and prayers.

Kevin is more than his injuries. He's a son, a father, and someone who has so much life left to live. He has a little boy waiting for his daddy to come home, a family who loves him beyond words, and an entire future ahead of him.
We're taking this journey one day at a time, and I promise to continue sharing updates on his progress.

From the bottom of this mother's heart, thank you for standing with my son.

With love and gratitude,
Kevin's Mom 💚
