Nutrition has changed my formula - I received several boxes of a formula called Peptamen, and is also ordering me another called Kate Farms Peptide (I’m currently on Kate Farms Standard). So I have two new formulas to try to out see what my body tolerates best!
As for hydration, she is working to get me a new pump that can do both feeds and hydration! If she can’t get that done then we’re going to talk about a port and hydration through that method.
And for the pain - no ER/hospitalization today! Praise the Lord for this 🙌! After checking out my tube in person they agreed there are no signs of infection (they actually said my tube is the cleanest one they’ve seen 😅), and the bumper is not tight. So they think that I have something called “buried bumper” - essentially the bumper inside my stomach (piece inside my stomach holding my tube it) is digging into my stomach tissue, sort of like my body is trying to reject the tube.
The plan is to have a test done where they inject dye into my tube and perform a CT scan that will tell them if this is correct, and also check the placement of my tube. I’m not sure when this will be scheduled, but they are working to get it scheduled in Columbus so I don’t have to go all the way back up to Atlanta! Although I wish I was out of pain tonight, I am so thankful that I don’t have to be hospitalized away from my family again.
I am so thankful for the Lord’s provision and timing! Please be in prayer for these upcoming tests that they show whatever is causing me this pain, and that the fix will be easy. I truly appreciate your prayers! I will update once I know more.
