Hey and hello there lovely friends and loved ones!
Well, it's about 10 days post-op, and I can say with zero hesitation or doubt that it was 100% the best choice. Going into surgery, I had so many health issues: sleep disruption, chronic significant pain, high blood pressure, loss of appetite, nausea, headaches, brain fog, depression and anxiety.
Today, I woke up with minor aches, and just... Me. No pain, no fog, and the other issues have resolved as well. Since the surgery I haven't needed a single narcotic. (PLEASE understand, this isn't me saying after surgery you don't need narcotics! Please take the meds your Dr recommends!). This is significant, as I had thought my pain tolerance had disappeared, but the reality is that the pain had gotten so great that recovery from a surgery hurt LESS than my regular daily life.
Wow.
When the labs came in, it showed that the large fibroid had grown to about the size of a small soda can. Yes. That big. I had about a dozen others, and there was evidence of extensive endometriosis and cysts. All in all, it was literally draining the life out of me.
My cats, dogs, and of course my amazing Aaron and Amanda have been my champions, reminding me to rest and taking care of things. We cannot tell you how grateful we are to know that our friends and family have given us a cushion so I don't have to worry about working this summer and can just focus on healing and restoration. Thank you for the gift cards and dinners, the donations and the loving words. Love to all of you. ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
