Joy’s cast is officially off! Everything went great at her postop appointment today and her surgeon did not feel like she needed more time in the cast – which is a huge praise and answer to prayer! Joy has been absolutely terrified at the sight of her hand though so that has not been a fun experience for anyone. It’s a pretty gnarly sight so I don’t blame her. (Truthfully, when they took her cast off, I nearly gagged). With time, the stitches and dried blood will fall away and her new finger separation site will be more visible. It’ll take her a few days to start moving her hand/fingers again but we are confident she’ll bounce back quickly!   Thank you for all the continued prayers for her recovery! ❤️
