Josh And Brilee Phillips
Just wanted to update you all to let you know there really aren’t any updates! And for this we are grateful. Complications aren’t terribly uncommon for this surgery, but so far Josh has avoided them all.
His energy and strength improve every day and he’s counting down the weeks until he can lift more than a gallon of milk.
He’s eating everything in sight, which delights us all.
He’s getting used to the stoma and colostomy bag, which may be a pain, but his contentious colon was much more problematic.
Nights are still a bit rough with pain and sleep, so we’d appreciate prayers for this. Overall, though, his recovery is smooth, if not a bit boring!
He even had enough energy to oblige me with a few games this week, which made at least one of us all warm and fuzzy inside. 🥰
Thanks again for the prayers, cards, money - you have no idea what a blessing it is to them!
Onto week 2!
