Jonah received his stem cells this week in Arizona! We met with Dr Proefrock and are so blessed to have been able to be connected to him. He’s exactly the type of doctor we were hoping to find!

He was very excited to see how well Jonah is doing given everything he’s gone through which was amazing to hear. We talked through all of our questions and he was very reassuring and hopeful. I can’t wait to see how Jonah progresses from this treatment!

The stem cells were retrieved by removing a tiny bit of fat from Jonah’s love handle and extracting them from the sample. They were then administered through a nose spray and injection. Dr Proefrock said low-hanging repair in the brain could start within 1-2 weeks, while the majority of improvement we could see occurs in 1-2 months. We’ll go back in 3 months for PRP (platelet rich plasma) which is meant to help wake the stem cells back up to continue healing.

We didn’t get many photos on the trip, but I did manage to take of picture of Jonah’s cell sample. It was so cool to learn about this and hear a professional have such great hope for Jonah!

We only have 3 more weeks left of hbot then we’ll be home! Thank you so much for the continued support and prayers. Jonah is doing big things and we know Gods hand is all over this!
