Another thing we're hoping to fund is twice-monthly Trexo sessions.

The Trexo is a robotic gait trainer that allows disabled children like Jolene to walk! It helps to reinforce the pattern of walking, building that brain/body connection.

This photo is from her very first Trexo session in 2024, just 2 weeks after we'd received her official diagnosis. It was so emotional to see her upright and walking for the first time.

We've continued to do Trexo sessions once a month since then. Now, when practicing walking outside of the Trexo, we can tell that she knows what to do. Shifting her weight and progressing one foot at a time. Her body is remembering! We can only attribute this to her time in the Trexo. It's truly a joy to see.

A friend of mine shares Jolene's updates with a Greek Orthodox Priest in Cuba who prays for her. Seeing a video of her in the Trexo, the Priest joyfully made the connection-- "Trexo! That is the Greek word meaning 'to run.' May God allow it to be so."

I pray the same prayer.
