Hello generous supporters of JJ!  I want to update you on where we are with the Carbonhand.  In July, a representative from Limb Lab, the company in Utah who helps to distribute the device in the  USA (she’s also a physical therapist,) came to JJ’s home in NY to fit him and help him learn how to use it. It was a full day, exciting to see it in person. He had a trial period with it for 7 days. After this period, it was decided by him, his therapists and his family, that the Carbonhand ultimately wasn’t a good fit for him. With his type of injury, we didn’t see enough of a benefit. In the end, we decided not to purchase.  We were disappointed, but so glad he tried it. We are going to pivot at this point and use the funds for something else.  He has so many ongoing needs, there will be no shortage of ways to put the money to good use. He needs a new accesssible can, so perhaps it will go towards that.  I will keep you all posted.  Thank you all again for your support!
