My family and I would like to thank everyone in the community for the outpouring of support and generosity during my recent healthcare journey. We cannot begin to express our gratitude for everyone’s support during this medical whirlwind.

Since I was a child, I have always loved living in this town. Working for the city for 40 plus years has been a privilege and an honor. I love how our town looks out for each other and tries to do the best for its citizens. The amount of people reaching out and thinking of me and my family is overwhelming and very humbling.

My family and I are very blessed in so many ways; first the generosity of the donor’s family. It is such a gift for any family being a recipient of a donor. Second, for the amount of support from our family, friends and community.

Being thrown into the medical world of needing a donor has been such an unimaginable ride. My family and I have the donor marking on our license but until now the need for and importance of that decision was not so prevalent in our minds.We know this decision comes during a very upsetting and difficult time but want people to know what their generosity means to another family. We will always be grateful for the gift of life we received from our donor.

We want to again express our gratitude to our family, friends and community. We live in such a great community. We thank you all for thinking of us!!!! Bless you all!!!

SO HAPPY you are on the mend, Jim. Community is what it is all about. How wonderful to be accepting of the love and support of those who want to help.
