to you all - Jeremy has been so touched by everyone’s outpouring of support and affection. He didn’t expect any of this (because those who truly spend their lives giving never do) and he is eternally grateful. I know he’s gotten back online so I’ll let him say the rest.
As a situation update - he is still at North Memorial Hospital most likely until Monday. We are still hoping to find a way to get the VA to pay for a TCU stay, but may end up paying out of pocket. The fundraiser currently has enough to pay for the tow truck bill, a used aluminum wheelchair ramp, and the down payment for a TCU stay.
He will not be able to stand, walk, or use his R arm for 6-8 weeks. After that point he can walk on his left leg and will hopefully have full use of his arm. His R leg needs to rest for another 6 weeks after that point without weight on it.
Progress has been made on readying his house to receive him home in a chair. There will be ample opportunities to help our friend, they just await a return home date. You can check back here to find out what is needed where that time comes.
Thank you all, sincerely, for showing up.
