Surgery is out.
Jeff & Patty Williams
Dad had a chest x-ray yesterday, and found that the pneumonia in his left lung is a bit worse. He has generalized pain all over, but because his BP remains very low, docs are limiting the amount of pain medication they give him. Pain meds bring BP down, and when his BP is that low, they cannot do dialysis. Without dialysis.... So he is unfortunately in pain.
Dad is no longer a candidate for any surgery at this point, with the only option going forward being rehab and building up his strength for a possible kidney stent surgery. The major surgery is out of the question now.
Dad has had excruciating back pain, so much so that they believe he may have fractured a vertebrae. He is currently having an MRI, in hopes that there is something that can be repaired in his back to ease his pain.
Mom is holding steady. She is so grateful for all of you who have given money for food and bills. She says all she needs now is your prayers. Please keep our whole family in your prayers, but especially my sweet Mom.
Dad loves visitors, so if you'd like to come see him, he is at Northside Gwinnett Hospital in Rm 426-North.
