Update on Dad: 

Dad's cognitive function is worsening. We believe he indeed had a stroke - no definitive test results yet. He needs assistance with everything, including eating. When shifts change, he gets confused and frustrated, so he must have someone with him to help keep him calm. This is an all-hands-on-deck scenario; Mom is present during the day, and all of our family members are alternating taking evening shifts. But with life in full swing for each and every one of us, we would be so appreciative if others could help as well. 

I've posted the new "Sit with Jeff at the Hospital" needs on the registry for easy sign-ups, so we know whether or not someone will be available to relieve my mom for the evening each day. If 4 hours is too much time, perhaps two people could split it and take 2 hours each. We aren't sure how long he'll be in the hospital, so I have only posted up to two weeks out. If he remains there and the need continues, I'll post more time slots.

To sign up for a sitting time, just click "View Support Registry," then scroll until you see "Lend a Hand." Then you can choose the date you have available and it will notify the family. We have several dates filled already - THANK YOU! - but we still have lots of open slots. The one slot attached to this post was the first to go. The rest can be found using the above directions.
