As I push the wheel another day turns and I will become stronger.
Was up most of last night due to the IV causing restroom breaks, RN check-ins with stats, measurements, and meds or my two IV machines needing care and alerting us via a rhythmic beeping most the night. So, very little sleep was received. My counts dropped below the minimum threshold this morning and a bag of platelets as is protocol was dropped.
I did knock out 4 more laps today and have noticed I am getting cold much easier. I think this is due to the very low red blood count I currently have. My throat is getting sore and making it more difficult to eat solid food. The nurse team said this is to be expected. I still continue to push solid foods to keep my throat, stomach, large and small intestines working. It's important during this to push the digestive system even though it is under so much stress because of its high turn over of cells. I'm told it makes long term recovery smoother.
We continue to work towards the bounce. Thank you all for your continued support.
