They came in before breakfast, bed ready to transport, orders in hand. The nursing staff scramble to wake me and quicky prep me with a shot of pre medication directly into my tri-line. They were early and unannounced.

As before General Antonio Lรณpez de Santa Anna had a plan and it was working. Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie knew it to, but still they rallied. The sound of many feet moving could be heard in the halls. Mask on I zoomed through back elevator routes, long corridors, and between buildings until I came to a stop in front of Oncology Radiology. They wheeled me to the prep area. Confirmed name, date of birth, held up previous photographs taken of me and had double verification made. Then looked at my wrist band again, triple verification done, consent was reached and paperwork was signed.

Standby, tick tick tick , , , Ready, , , ok bring them in. I was wheeled across a hall into the vault.

A thick walled room, large, in the middle back of it loomed a machine out of Dune, it was cream or maybe white in color the lights were different in this room. A computer board hung above my head with my picture on it I was asked to confirm it was me. I was then wheeled deeper into the this room, across it, up against a thick, solid, heavy wall with a crosshair painted on it. Across from me a large arm slid and roll forward. I could see the inside of it giant paw where there were silver, reflective hexagonal squares on it in a large pattern. I could tell this was the barrel.

The lighting changed it projected a pattern on the the wall, I was move into it's outline, centered on the crosshairs. Then drifted a few centimeters off the wall with a measuring tape. Everything goes metric now. Tape measure used to confirm distance to the arm. Confirmed, double checked.

I was then asked to sit upright on my butt and feet. My knees were wrapped together and tapped together, a foam triangle wedge put underneath my knees to support. My feet laid flat, side by side. Then a towel rolled tightly and place under my arches so I would "toe up". Once they were positioned I was taped to the table. My knees then taped to the table, My hands rested fingers interwove and across my waist, Taped to the table. My back was supported with another foam wedge I imagine, head tilted back on a rolled towel to project my chin up. Forehead tape back. Chest taped back. Several other tape straps applied. I was told not to move, the instruction was clear, firm.

Then green lasers projected over me, a final approval was given, a sheet was thrown across my body for warmth. A tall mirror was set near my feet outside of the splash zone and angled, confirmations were made and the staff quickly rushed out of the space. The door was sealed. The alarm going off could be heard over the music they were playing in the room for 10 minutes straight. I didn't move. It stopped, the room unsealed quickly staff appeared the blanket was removed, I was rotated 180 degrees, measurements, distances confirmed, centered on the crosshair, green laser grid, a blanket pulled back over me. "Okay just don't move". The team rushed out again. 10 minutes pasted, different music, same alarm.

Air refilled the room the team came in, I was unstrapped, covered and wheel back to prep.

The Alamo had fallen.

Thank you friends for reading along today. The first pictures is an artist conception of the machine used on me today. The second is one I took Aug 16th, 2019 in New Mexico, and the last is what was needed after 20 minutes of total body irradiation (TBI).
