Our pre-transplant journey was abruptly terminated when the detection of Leukemia blast were in Jazmyne’s bloodstream. Consequently, the scheduled transplant scheduled for October 23 has been canceled.  

Here’s a quick rundown of Leukemia. Leukemia is a type of cancer that targets the blood and bone marrow. Since Jazmyne’s relapse two years ago, Jazmyne’s blood and bone marrow have consistently tested negative for leukemia. Leukemia was only diagnosed through biopsies. According to the Jazmyne Oncology team, this is an exceptionally rare occurrence and has not been previously seen.

We are currently waiting for the oncology teams to determine the most suitable treatment plan for Jazmyne will be.Jazmyne is unable to undergo a transplant until she achieves remission, which implies the absence of leukemia in her blood and bone marrow.  

 

Difficult news to hear, but we know God is still in control of Jazmyne’s proclaimed victory. God’s already making a way, so there’s no need to sit in worry or doubt. Our family’s calling remains the same—to stay obedient and praise Him through it all.

it’s states that the devil roars like, not that he is a lion. He just roars he has no bite.
