Today I spotted a tiny blister rash and instantly knew what it was… varicella-zoster virus (VZV) decided to clock in—aka chicken pox.

(And no, a vaccine wouldn’t have saved us from this plot twist.) 

When you’re immunocompromised, every old virus in your body suddenly thinks it has VIP access. Since Jazmyne has had VZV before, it apparently felt nostalgic and decided to make a comeback tour. 🙄

So now we start IV antiviral meds, we’re back in isolation AGAIN, and guess what? We get to move to a negative-pressure room. On a Friday night.
This will officially be our third room in four weeks.

Let me just say… I did not have “chicken pox” and “room-moving cardio workout” on my Friday night bingo card 🤦🏽‍♀️. I can’t make this up.. its so outrageous its comical 🤣
