Jazmyne's Promise
Day -3
She is starting another round of chemotherapy today.
For the next 48 hours, her body must flush the medication out every 2 hours through her urine, even through the night. That means waking her up around the clock so her little body can do what it needs to do.
They are increasing her fluid intake to help with the constant urge to urinate. She is hooked up to five different IV pumps, receiving multiple preventative and protective medications, along with 4โ5 different oral medications morning, noon, and night.
This next round will be much harsher, and the side effects are more aggressive and visible.
We can see the physical and mental toll itโs taking on Jazmyne. Her bubbly spirit, her jokes, her smileโฆ they are quieter as the days go by. Itโs one of the hardest parts to witness.
We are still trying to find the right combination of nausea medications that will give her consistent relief.
We are asking for extra prayers for strength, protection, comfort, and peace over her body and her mind. And for endurance for us as we walk her through this.
Thank you for loving her and covering her in prayer.
PRAYER REQUEST:
*give us all rest, peace, and comfort during this difficult process.
*keep food down, receive nourishment, and regain strength.
*may the chemotherapy do what it needs to do without causing unnecessary suffering.
