Jazmyne's Promise
We were supposed to receive Jazmyne’s biopsy results on December 18th—but the results didn’t come. Without answers, we found ourselves living in limbo, unsure whether we’d even celebrate Christmas at home or be packing up for another hospital stay. The doctors reminded us that at any moment we could get the call to come back in, and that uncertainty can weigh heavy. But God has been steady through it all.
Here’s what we know so far:
Friday, Dec 19: No biopsy results yet.
Monday, Dec 22: Still no confirmation whether the lymph node is malignant—another PET scan is needed.
Tuesday, Dec 23: We received a call offering an appointment on Christmas Eve. Greg immediately said no. He was determined that cancer would not take Christmas away from our daughter. Jazmyne deserves the joy of childhood and the gift of simply being a kid.
Her PET scan is now scheduled for December 30th.
We spent Christmas Eve surrounded by our church family, and God used their love, prayers, and presence to fill our hearts in ways we didn’t even know we were missing.Christmas looked different this year. We didn’t dwell on the past. We didn’t sit in fear of what’s ahead. We chose to live fully in the present—wrapped in gratitude, soaking in time together, trusting that God already knows the outcome. We spent Christmas Eve surrounded with our church family Even though we deeply missed Joshua, our hearts were thankful to be home, together, held by the peace only God can give.
We continue to stand on His promises and trust His timing.
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” — Isaiah 26:3
Thank you for continuing to pray with us. God is faithful, and we believe He is already ahead of us in every detail. ❤️
