Jazmyne's Promise
This morning’s procedure has been moved to Friday.
At 5am I figured out the procedure wasn’t happening in the sedation room — the chlorhexidine wipes and hospital robe that the nurse placed at bedside were my indication that Jazmyne was being prepped for the OR instead.
Jazmyne does not tolerate OR rooms well.The OR triggers anxiety for her, and there was no communication about the change. After a couple of go-arounds (gracefully and firmly) advocating for her well-being, we were able to move the procedure back to the sedation room for Friday — where she feels safest. Protecting her peace will always be our priority.
In other great news, Jazmyne’s ANC doubled overnight! 🙌🏼
A chest CT scan will be done today to make sure there are no hidden concerns. When the scan shows clear, some of her IV medications can finally start being pulled back or even removed.
