Harper's Recovery
We were so fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend Camp Sunshine family camp this past weekend, a camp for families affected by pediatric cancer. We had an incredible time! Harper enjoyed playing with other kids, horseback riding, and bubbles. The weekend couldn’t have come at a better time since today was a scan day.
Harper’s last scan was in January after completing radiation. It was very positive showing a 90% reduction in her liver met. Despite that scan days are very anxiety provoking for Ryan and I. The camp experience really helped keep it at bay.
Harper’s scan was at 10 am this morning and we just followed up with the radiation oncologist at 1. He was pleased to tell us that since January the spot on her liver decreased by another 50% and showed no new spots! He reviewed the images with us and it’s almost not visible.
We are very excited with the news and relieved it’s responding the way it’s supposed to on this much tougher chemo regimen!
We are feeling recharged as we head into the next few weeks of tough inpatient chemo again.
Your continued prayers, well wishes, and support mean so much to us!
