Harper's Recovery
Originally Harper was supposed to go to clinic Monday for a count dependent admission but after seeing how low her white blood cells were at end of last week when she was admitted for a neutropenic fever we pushed it back to today. While we want to make sure body has time to recover, not knowing what’s going to happen is incredibly anxiety provoking.
Fortunately she just made counts today so we are waiting for a hospital room to open up.
This will be our longest inpatient chemo admission yet. She will be inpatient 4 nights and she is getting 3 types of chemo, 2 of which are brand new.
Since her unplanned admission we kept this week really low key. Ryan’s team won the Super Bowl, Harper’s had good energy, and she enjoyed a visit from a local young woman, Brianne, who made her a lovely Butterfly box of goodies.
We are ready to get this round over with and are looking forward to a visit from Aunt Erin tomorrow who is flying down from Vermont.
Thank you again for continued support of meals, help with pets, and prayers/well wishes.
