Harper's Recovery
Harper did so well all of yesterday then midnight hit and so did her nausea. Her nausea meds were unfortunately ordered incorrectly and she received a second dose too early so it was wearing off but she couldn’t get more until 8 am. We tried some IV Benadryl but it didn’t touch it. She proceeded to throw up every 20 minutes for 4 hours then every 30-45 minutes until she could get the good nausea med at 8am. She also had to have an EKG after to make sure getting the medication too early didn’t affect her heart.
Fortunately after the medication at 8 am she perked up and was able to eat a little bit. She napped and we are about ready to head home. She is still a little nauseous but we feel like we can manage it at home.
She will head back to clinic next week for outpatient chemo.
