Hey friends,
So it's 3:13 am. I woke up to me falling out of bed. Literally. I slid right out onto the floor! If you are laughing, it's totally okay! I am too. And I am fine, no injuries to report. I figured it would happen sooner or later, but regardless, it's embarrassing. And my sweet wife missed the moment. She's sleeping fine while I am typing this to you!
Much of my life right now is related to acquiring balance! Yes, for the body, and yes, for the mind! Both are super essential.
Balance is something I would ask you to pray about. Yes, certainly for me, but also for you. We appreciate each and every prayer! But so many of our friends are saying they are struggling with their schedules and their priorities. Keeping family first, maintaining work responsibilities, taking care of personal things, and much more. This is where I want to challenge you to view your life through the lens of Proverbs 3:5-6. What a great passage to give us both encouragement and a loving warning. Ponder this passage from long ago.
"Trust in the Lord,
With ALL your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding!
In ALL your ways,
Acknowledge HIM,
And He shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Thanks for letting me take a minute to encourage you to examine your life. Be honest with yourself. Where have your priorities actually gotten out of order? What changes do you need to make to bring BALANCE to your world?
Brief Update: We finished the most recent Chemotherapy schedule last night. Maybe that explains me on the floor! So now I am doing Physical Therapy and waiting for a trip back to Duke Medical to have a MRI and assess the treatment progress. That will happen in mid-May. Meanwhile, working on my balance!
Bless you all. We love you. Thanks for your prayers!
