Good morning everyone! For today’s update, I wanted to share about another intensive we are planning for Grasley this summer. It’s called Neuro Acupuncture, and we are so excited about this opportunity!

We met Ioannis Solos, who runs the Saint George Clinic and Research Institute in Arizona, back in October at a neurology conference. We were incredibly impressed by his work—especially the results he has seen with kiddos who have Cerebral Palsy—and felt strongly that we wanted to give his protocol a try for Grasley.

Grasley has low muscle tone, meaning she experiences muscular weakness in different parts of her body. One of the challenges we’ve been working through is drooling. Because of her low tone, her mouth is often open, which leads to excessive drooling. While it may seem like a small issue, it can cause significant skin irritation and other skin-related problems when it becomes excessive.

I’ll be attaching a more detailed report from Mr. Solos, but I wanted to share this explanation that really stood out to us:

“Drooling is often not just an oral issue, but a neurological one. It’s commonly related to how the brain coordinates facial muscles, swallowing, sensory awareness, and autonomic regulation. When those signals aren’t well organized, saliva control can be inconsistent—even when the muscles themselves are capable.

Neuro-acupuncture is a scalp-based approach that works with the areas of the brain involved in facial motor control, sensory processing, and overall neurological development. By gently stimulating specific regions of the scalp, we support better organization and communication within the nervous system. Over time, this can help improve awareness, coordination of the mouth and face, and regulation of swallowing.”

This is why we are so hopeful about trying neuro-acupuncture—not only to help with drooling, but also to see if it supports Grasley’s overall neurological development.

If this is something you would like to specifically support, there is a separate “Lend a Hand” button on our Support Now page dedicated to this incredible intensive. Thank you all so much for your continued love and support, and as always, please keep us in your prayers. 💛
